Yeah some updates… work is so cruel with my time that I can update my blog (and unfortunately also the full wedding stories) not so often.
Just two lines to report my latest award-winning photos in Fearless Photographers competitions, Collection 12 and Collection 13:

And one of the award winning photos of one of the most difficult contests by WPJA in 2012: Q4, the last contest of the year. This shot placed 11th in “Architecture and Setting” category. More than 22.000 photos were submitted, across 18 categories. I’m very proud to be there. ♥

It’s been a while since I wanted to publish this wedding. I found the time to do that only now. The Mausoleum of Santa Costanza in Rome is something stunning to photograph, even at midday when, unfortunately, there are no sun beams coming in from the top windows. Alessandro and Ilenia got married on May 13th, 2012. The reception was something crazy… I still have to understand a lot of things happened. There were funny and strange guests, doing strange things. XD

Got 2 Awards by Fearless Photographers!
Recently I’ve been quite busy to update my blog. I just wanted to show you the 2 pictures of mine awarded by Fearless Photographers last month. I am so proud to have been awarded among some of the best wedding photographers in the world. Fearless is full of so many talented masters, and the candidate photos were more than 5.000. Only 263 have been chosen for the Round 9 Awards. These are mine:

Photographers websites with music.
Tonight I was surfing the website of a talented Italian wedding photographer. I admired his pictures for a good ten minutes. Then I realized, through an animated icon, there was music playing on the website, but my computer volume was completely off. So I plugged my earphones and switched my laptop audio on. The effect of that light and happy pop music was so destructive on the feelings I was having, looking at those beautiful pictures, that I suddenly restored the shitty audio off. And probably I suddenly stopped seeing those photos too, as I wanted to write down this!
I don’t use music on my websites.
A lot of photographers do.
I think photography speaks its own music, to each observer in a different way. Tones and colors, people expressions, light and shadow, the moment catched, the beauty and the beast of each great shot you stop staring at, for some reason you don’t even know, starts a dialogue with your soul.
Forcing this relationship between the scene and the observer, with a pre-set sound (and thence atmosphere), is something I feel way intrusive and some sort of unnatural.
Please, let me know what you think about this… and the reactions you have when you find music on photographers websites! 
Photoshow 2012 in Rome
I’ll be visiting PhotoShow 2012 at the Nuova Fiera di Roma, from March, 30th to April, 2nd.
It will be an occasion to meet, but most important, there you can find a lot of Albums manufacturers, seeing samples, ask for prices and a lot more! If you haven’t yet printed your wedding pictures, I’d have a walk at the Fair.
There will be also large format printer manufacturers (Epson, Canon, HP, Roland, etc.) that will print sample photos with their great machines. If you carry, on a pen-drive, a couple of pictures you’d love to see well printed, you will easily get them.
